Retrocommissioning, or existing building commissioning, is an important credit within the LEED rating system because it is one of the most cost effective ways to reduce unnecessary energy usage in almost any commercial facility. Energy savings can be as high as 30 percent and simple paybacks of 12 months or less are common. Attendees of this session will view examples of retrocommissioning investigation discoveries and energy savings, and learn how retrocommissioning can provide a significant financial return for their own LEED initiative.
