Benchmarking energy use is guaranteed to result in reduced energy use, with the added bonus of reduced expense. The challenge of energy benchmarking is that it is rooted in data collection and analysis. For a facility manager who is responsible for a large number of locations, the amount of data can grow to be unwieldy. This presentation will address best practices for large-scale energy benchmarking and cite specific case studies where this practice resulted in reduced energy consumption across a portfolio and big time savings.
