25 Low Cost/No Cost Ways to Save Energy

Very often facilities personnel are misled that they must spend lots of money on high priced equipment and expensive sophisticated systems to save energy dollars. Nothing could be further from the truth. In this presentation, attendees will review strategies to implement both low-cost (i.e. a $1,000 maximum total expenditure for material and outside labor) and no-cost (no expenditure of funds) initiatives in their facilities.

  1. Identify a variety of low/no-cost ways to save energy dollars in buildings
  2. Analyze energy-saving programs that are easily done in-house without resorting to outside contractors or engineers
  3. Review ways to save energy that will also extend equipment life
  4. Discuss ways to improve temperature control
