Chilled Water System Control and Optimization


Central plants are one of the largest energy consumers within a building's HVAC system. Optimizing the operation of the plant is a critical component in managing a building's energy consumption. This presentation focuses on the current methods of control of the various components within a chiller plant including the chillers, pumps and cooling towers as well as the best methods of control to maximum energy efficiency. A strategy for total chilled water system optimization will also be discussed.
