FMX Revisited: Gilbert Public Schools Energy Management Plan

Facing a loss of over $2.5 million in energy funds, Gilbert Public Schools adopted an energy management plan to help meet its financial needs. The plan developed and matured over the years from using basic no - and - low cost ideas to multimillion dollar projects. This session will review the growth of the energy plan while sharing lessons learned as the District worked to decrease its energy use by over 30 percent. Gilbert Public School District was recognized for their energy plan through the FMXcellence program in 2010.

1. Review the strategies used to successfully reduce energy costs
2. Compare the use of no - and low - cost ideas to high-cost projects
3. Evaluate the energy management plan: what worked and what didn't, what would we do different
