Getting the Right Data Out of Your BIM Deliverables

BIM deliverables-specifically Autodesk Revit models-are becoming the norm for design and construction projects. But are you getting the level of quality and correct data out of your models? This session will cover common types of data that can be collected, the importance of QA/QC during design and construction, and ways you can make sure you get the data you need. Bad data is worse than no data, and if you have bad data from your BIM projects, or scratched your head over the terms COBie, UniFormat, BEP, and others, this session is for you.

1. Understand the importance of having a robust set of BIM requirements documents and supporting documentation
2. Learn how to automatically check for BIM standards in Revit models to speed up their model quality checks
3. Learn about the different points during a building's lifecycle when different classification systems are needed and how to easily track them
4. Gain knowledge about how to generate, collect, and export properly formatted COBie data from directly inside a Revit model
