Learning Lab: Hard-Hats and High Heels: Successfully Implementing Change

Please join the High Heels & Hard Hats: Women in FM to both listen and engage on the topic of implementing change. There is a lot of industry talk these days about change management and how FMs are often change agents for their organizations. Books and buzz word can give us theories of change management but no one can tell you exactly how your organization's culture will react to change when it happens. Managing change effectively is a powerful skill for the FM, there is no right way, but there are techniques and tools to lead us down the right path. Learning effective change management comes from listening and talking openly with your peers. This session will include a panel of dynamic FM leaders who will share their stories, trials, tribulations and successes of making change happen in their organizations. And the session will also include engaging round table discussions for participants to share ideas and learn from each other. Join this group of ladies as we learn together how to successfully implement change.

Learning Objectives:
1. Understand what change management is and the 5 stages of change
2. Review how to create a change management plan
3. Learn how do you get started and who should be involved
4. Define what leadership and communication skills are critical for being a successful change agent
