Leveraging Electronic Counter Measures in Active Shooter Incidents


This presentation provides concise information on preparing for and responding to an active shooter event. The session includes basic prevention techniques, employee training options and development of emergency response protocols, and highlights ways to leverage existing electronic counter measures as part of the emergency planning process. Mr. Wilkins will discuss how emergency first respondent’s handle such an event and details how employees should interact with these individuals.


1. Gain a clear understanding of the importance of having a comprehensive plan to respond to active shooter event
2. Understand how existing security components can be leveraged to mitigate the impact of the event
3. Learn the potential liability risks that are incurred when proper planning and training are not done
