The golden rule no longer applies. Treating others how you wish to be treated is sub-standard. You must learn to treat the individuals on your team how THEY wish to be treated. Facility managers understand how to tailor the needs of their equipment to that of the equipment, it's time they learn how to do the same with their human capital. The lowest performing piece of equipment in your building is your ability to develop your team.
