O&M or OMG? How to stop lurching from one disaster to the next by understanding what your building

Building operations and maintenance is no utopia. Too much to do and not enough time to do it makes O&M more like a neverending series of “OMGs.” Thankfully, lessons can be learned from the folks building new buildings that FM pros can use to quit lurching from one disaster to the next and start heading off problems before they occur. Join commercial architect-turned-construction superintendent-turned-software architect, Eric Hall, for a lively session on utopian myths and actual realities of predictive maintenance and how understanding what your building is saying will return your OMGs to O&M.

1. Participants will learn that predictive maintenance isn’t an impossible utopian ideal.
2. Participants will learn how to change from a fire-based M&O operation to one with premeditated actions.
3. Participants will understand the importance of a how a building’s asset combinations give it a unique ‘language” and how to understand what it's saying.
4. Participants will gain the ability to fix problems now instead of making preventative plans for the next time.
