Simplifying Lighting Controls

Lighting control systems and their programming can be frustrating. When operating correctly, they are rarely noticed and often unappreciated, but when not operating correctly they seem to be the bane of owners, operators, and users. We're all familiar with the horror stories of lights flashing on and off in a facility during use and nobody on site who knows how to operate the switches that don't seem to work.

1. Gain a fundamental understanding of various types of lighting control systems installed in buildings
2. Explore and understand how lighting controls are affected by architecture and space
3. Evaluate the cost benefit and impact of increased interaction with the lighting control system
4. Witness and interact with the simple programming of a lighting control system
