Strategic FM Outsourcing: It's Not About the Contract


With outsourcing as an accepted, everyday extension of the FM organization, few FM organizations exist today without some form of outsourced services. Still, many FM organizations have difficulty establishing an outsource arrangement that is strategic, effective and transparent.

This session identifies some of the most common mistakes FM organizations make when they initiate an outsourcing campaign and provides an easy, five piece approach to establishing a successful and sustained outsource relationship.


1. Know potential pitfalls of typical outsourcing prior to developing a strategy
2. Determine goals and expectations from outsourcing arrangement as preliminary strategy
3. Perform the critical analysis prior to developing an RFP and establish a solid RFP document
4. Create a partnership environment with the chosen outsource provider
