The ADA in 2017 and Beyond: What You Need to Know



This session is designed to help facility managers understand the applications and definitions contained within the Americans with Disabilities Act as it relates to accessibility in design and construction, and to lend detailed instruction on removing common barriers to be within compliance. This session will provide in-depth descriptions of compliance requirements, and will provide unique insight to the Justice Department’s interpretation of these regulations.

1. Define the basic elements of the ADA and learn how it is evolving
2. Recognize how to assess and apply the ADA to paths of travel
3. Recognize how to assess and apply the ADA to toilet rooms
4. Recognize how to assess and apply the ADA to doors and other items
