Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) - Drones, the Good, the Bad, the Ugly

Perhaps the most vexing area of critical infrastructure and facility management security at this particular time is the concept of drones. Drones possess immense beneficial attributes for all types of organizations, while at the same time, they offer a host of differing threat vectors. Drones are elevating the threat level for nearly all levels of security. Whether the threat vector is payload delivery, surveillance, or airborne spoofing, drones have become the true 21st century threat. Attendees will leave with an understanding of FAA Part 107, drone benefits, threats, mitigation strategies and liability and insurance concerns.

Learning Objectives:
1. Discuss FAA Part 107 with regard to hobbyist and commercial drone operations to include
2. Give an overview of the various new and emergent commercial applications for drones
3. Explain the differing threat vectors drones possess
4. Observe the current mitigation techniques for drones
