Young Professionals Panel


As the facility management profession continues to evolve, young and eager FMs are stepping into the spotlight. Thinking strategically, integrating a wide range of technologies, and protecting people and planet are all priorities for this new and growing crop of FMs. As well, today’s FMs are expected to speak the language of finance, communicate effectively and efficiently, and contribute to the overall goals of the organization — all while maintaining an appropriate work/life balance. This panel will consider several issues of increasing importance to young FMs and tackle some of the more challenging issues these FMs are taking on today.


1. Understand the opportunities for young professionals within the facility management profession
2. Review the ever-changing required skill set of an FM
3. Gain insight into key challenges facing young facility managers
