How AI, BIoT and Advanced Modeling Tools Impact the Design and Operations of High Performance Build

It is an exciting time to involved in the design and management of facilities focused on high performance buildings. In the near future, emerging technologies in sophisticated energy modeling, growth in the Internet of Things into distributed components, and the potential of design and operations enhancements through the application of Artificial Intelligence tools will provide the foundation for growth in high performance buildings. This presentation provides an overview of how these technologies are evolving and will be employed.

Learning Objectives:

1. Explain a working definition of the technology available for a high performance building in near future tense.
2. Learn of new modeling technologies available that enable wider and deeper assessment of high performance opportunities.
3. Analyze how the Building Internet of Things (BIoT) enables high performance including control strategies, operational diagnostics and commissioning.
