Now in its third year, HPB+W has emerged as the industry’s leading educational resource for today’s smart, sustainable and healthy facilities. With sessions addressing big data, IOT, standards and codes, energy retrofits and financing – and an expo boasting the latest in lighting, automation, exteriors, enclosures and more, HPB+W showcases the emerging trends and best practices to optimize building performance.
HPB+W takes place at the Arlington Convention Center, smack in the heart of the Entertainment District. The center is adjacent to Globe Life Park (home of the Texas Rangers), AT&T Stadium (home of the Dallas Cowboys), Six Flags Over Texas, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor (America's largest water park), and Arlington's finest hotels and restaurants.

How to Communicate the Value of Attending High-Performance Buildings and Workplaces to Your Boss
We understand that training and conferences budgets have been cut back at many organizations. Here are several tips to help you validate your request to attend High-Performance Buildings and Workplaces:
Focus on what you will specifically bring back to the facility as return on investment.
Offer to prepare and deliver a short presentation to your staff in order to share what you have learned so that others may benefit from your attendance.
Share the presentation materials with your colleagues.
Have a plan for who will cover your workload while you are attending the conference.
Offer to share a room with a colleague to reduce hotel costs.
Consider driving to the event, if within a reasonable distance, to save on airfare.
High-Performance Buildings and Workplaces has the training and networking opportunities you need to succeed, but you have to attend to take advantage of them. To help get you to the conference, we have written a proposal letter that you can customize to justify your time away from the office.
1) Add the workshop Evaluating Building Water Use Efficiency and Future Costs to your itinerary.
