Agile O&M

KPMG’s 2015 Global Construction Survey found that 53% of construction projects are underperforming. Though modern materials, tools, technology and techniques have transformed the built environment, the process – plan, design, construct, operate and maintain – remain largely independent tasks, with the Facilities Manager in the dark until the very end. The session will describe Agile Construction Management methodologies to decompartmentalize these tasks, integrating the Facilities Managers into the entire product lifecycle.

Learning Objectives:

1. Understand Agile Product Development and the role of the O&M team in Agile Construction Management.
2. Facilities Managers will learn how to integrate new technology more effectively across the entire product lifecycle.
3. Learn alternative methods to implement sustainability, energy reduction, and wellness.
4. Learn how to immediately implement Agile methodologies in their facility management practices.
