Best Practices for Implementing BACnet in Your Facility

This presentation will explain the value of networked controls to FMs in implementing top down policies on energy conservation, sustainability, LEED, etc., helping FMs to work “leaner and meaner” while achieving policy targets. In addition, this presentation will outline best practices that will help the FM manage the BACnet component in a BACnet-based Building Automation Systems project.

Learning Objectives:

1. Be able to explain the differences in BACnet’s networking technologies and their impact on BAS design.
2. Understand how the principles of the Networked Controls Design Model will help to ensure a successful BACnet implementation and meet policy targets.
3. Be able to explain why this course will assist participants in undertaking a BACnet-based IoT plan for the Enterprise.
4. Be able to explain the responsibilities of the various roles of the FM, in implementing BACnet in a project.
