Orlando, FL

A world-renowned destination, Orlando is the place to make all of your vacation dreams come true. Of course, it is beloved for its theme parks: Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando® Resort, SeaWorld Orlando and many others. But it also beckons with world-class resorts, shopping opportunities for every budget, all-season golf courses, and some of the most enticing dining opportunities on the planet. Less known but equally inviting are the downtown sections of Orlando itself and many nearby towns in Central Florida – places that celebrate public art and take pride in offering a myriad of cultural opportunities. Come to Orlando – and bring the family – and wish upon a star.

International Drive

International Drive, Orlando's "Avenue of Attractions" and the lifeline of Downtown Orange County, is the home to restaurants, hotels, theme parks, shopping, entertainment and more.

Orlando Weather

One of Orlando's biggest draws is the year-round sunny, mild weather. In keeping with the "Sunshine State", Central Florida maintains a comfortable average annual temperature of 72 degrees and a mostly dry climate from October to May.

October’s average high is 84.6 degrees with a low of 65.8 degrees and a humidity level of 56.

Orlando Welcomes International Travelers

Orlando is an attractive destination for attendees from across the globe. Why? We're already known as a global brand catering to travelers from 292 countries. With 35 international cities providing nonstop service to Orlando International Airport, it's easy to get here. And there's plenty to do once the day's business is done.

Currency Exchange

Foreign currency can be exchanged at the Orlando International Airport's Main Terminal, Orlando's Official Visitor Center, and at most local banks, hotels, and major attractions. Many visitors prefer traveler's checks as they can usually be replaced if lost or stolen. A passport or driver's license is required to cash them (some banks may charge a small fee) and they are widely accepted at local businesses, as are most major credit cards. Cash is handy for tipping service personnel.

For those who plan on driving to the convention center, event-specific parking areas will be listed on overhead electronic signage on International Drive and the surrounding area.

Accessibility

All parking at the Orange County Convention Center is available on a first-come, first-served basis, including disability permit parking. The exact numbers of available spaces vary by show or event.

Parking Rates

The Orange County Convention Center accepts cash, traveler's checks, American Express, MasterCard and Visa.

  • $15.00 parking fee will apply to passenger vehicles.
  • $25.00 parking fee will apply to oversized vehicles.

Parking Lots

For those who plan on driving to the convention center, event-specific parking areas will be listed on overhead electronic signage on International Drive and the surrounding area.

  • The West Building parking lot can be accessed a number of ways - via Exhibit Drive (north entrance), via Convention Way (south entrance) and via West Entrance Drive off Westwood Boulevard.
  • The North/South Building parking lot can be accessed by two entrances - Universal Boulevard (north side) or International Drive (south side). Using the entrance off Universal Boulevard is encouraged when attending events in the North/South Concourse.
  • The Destination Parkway Parking Garage is located two blocks west on International Drive and is operational based on event activity. Depending on the show, guests parking in the Destination Parkway Garage may be shuttled to their event in either the West or the North/South buildings.

Short Term Parking

The OCCC has added short-term parking spaces in front of the West and North/South buildings. Guests will be able to park in a designated space for up to three hours at a rate of $4 per hour. Limiting how long a guest can park in those spaces means more people will have the opportunity to utilize those centralized parking spots. Parking Pay Stations have been installed in groupings of four around the West Building. The parking spaces are numbered and each Pay Station will accommodate 20 parking spaces. These Pay Stations are extremely user-friendly, and instructions are located on each unit.
