FM in the Age of Information and Automation
The FM profession must adapt to the new age of information and automation. The movement of the FM profession must include becoming a part of organizational ownership, and simplicity. This will allow FMs to add “dominant value” which will lead to the minimization of decision making, reduction of costs, and an increase in organizational capability. The “FM of the Future” is a different paradigm from the traditional FM. It affects the entire supply chain by bringing efficiency, simplicity and transparency to an organization. FMs must learn the new paradigm, vocabulary and actions to adapt to the future.
