Connected Lighting, IoT and Endless Possibilities!!!

IoT provides network connectivity to everyday objects, enabling them to send and receive data across a wired, wireless or hybrid network. Connected, smart lighting systems that can be both monitored and controlled from a centralized system, or via the cloud, is required for any successful IoT and/or Smart building implementation. This session will explore the benefits offered by smart buildings and will specifically look at economic benefits that come with connected lighting.

Learning Objectives:
1. Describe Internet of Things (IoT)
2. Evaluate the benefits offered by smart buildings
3. Explain the transition of light from a source of illumination to a source of information
4. Assess other economic benefits offered by connected lighting
