Reducing an Organization's Carbon Footprint

Have you been asked what your carbon footprint is? Do you know how many tons of carbon dioxide your organization emits per year? This course will introduce participants to the carbon footprint and the elements needed to calculate the footprint for their facilities and their organizations. We will identify why carbon footprint is important and how it relates to existing buildings. The workshop will show the basics of calculating your carbon footprint, the data that needs to be collected, as well as tools and calculators available to help you calculate your organizationís carbon footprint. We will discuss some of the hurdles we have encountered while calculating carbon footprints and show you how we overcame them. There are many carbon footprint calculators out there that will do the calculations for you, but the hard part is getting accurate information to put in them. We will provide you with the tools you need to best accumulate the information you need.
