About this session:
With the signing of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) into law, a myriad of tax incentives for the energy community have opened up. This presentation is designed to explain the impact of new tax legislation and other tax laws on the energy and building industries. Our presentation will cover how to capture new incentives for HVAC systems and other energy efficiency upgrades that significantly reduce the upfront costs of equipment for building owners, and we will explore newly revived incentives for alternative energy generation systems and energy-efficiency upgrades. In addition, we will cover the new tax-exempt, project categories that are now eligible for EPAct tax benefits. We will also discuss other legacy tax incentives available for designers, and how energy companies and building owners can capture these. Our presentation is designed to give attendees a thorough understanding of how to include all these incentives in the calculations of energy and building project ROIs.
