Danielle J. Floyd

Danielle J. Floyd is the Director of Public Works for the County of Delaware (PA). In her role, Danielle is responsible for the oversight and implementation of the County’s $75M multiyear capital improvement program for its 70 buildings, 16 parks, and trails. Danielle believes that investment in public infrastructure is essential in order to provide world class customer service, and is the foundation to connect diverse communities. Prior to her role in Delaware County, Danielle spent 20 years working in public education serving in many different capacities. She began her career providing professional development and technical support to teachers across Philadelphia. During her tenure with the School District of Philadelphia, she led the planning for the opening of four new, innovative high schools and served in many senior roles including Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Chief of Staff, Director of Capital Programs, and General Manager of Transportation Services. Danielle holds a BA in Urban Studies and a minor in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds certificates from the Pennsylvania Education Policy Fellowship Program and the Public Education Leadership Project at Harvard University. An avid traveler, Danielle recently completed and received a certificate in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Montgomery County Community College.
