About this session:
EV adoption is growing rapidly: a recent International Energy Agency report estimates that in the U.S., 50% of new car sales could be electric by 2030. As a result, an accessible and reliable charging infrastructure is becoming a necessity for facilities to remain competitive and attractive in our electric future. Whether it's the first or hundredth charger on a property, having enough chargers to meet customers’ demand today and in the future — and having the right infrastructure and energy management partner servicing them — is essential. In this session, Ryan Kennedy, CEO and co-founder of Atom Power, will walk facility managers through key considerations for planning, scaling, and managing an EVSE program that also ensures reliability. Kennedy will explain how managers can create an efficient value proposition by investing in a charging infrastructure with a low total cost of ownership. Attendees will walk away knowing which questions to ask to select the right charging brand to fit their business needs, what facility and infrastructure details to consider when planning an EVSE program that can grow with their facility needs, and how to maximize the return on an EVSE investment.
1. Understand the factors driving the exponential growth of EV adoption, its urgent implications, and the need for all facility managers to proactively adapt to the evolving market landscape.
2. Recognize the significant impact that selecting the right EV charging and energy management partner can have on overall cost, satisfaction and future expansion.
3. Learn how to select the right charger types and power levels to fit your business needs, and how to plan a successful, long-term EVSE program that provides visibility, monitoring, maintenance, reliability, cost effectiveness, and scalability.
4. Develop criteria to effectively evaluate EV charging and energy management partners, empowering you to identify strong partners that align with your property's needs and goals.
