About this session:

The adoption of EVs is on a steep upward trajectory. According to the International Energy Agency, EV sales more than tripled from 4% in 2020 to 14% in 2022 with expectations that EVs will reach 50% of new car sales by 2030. This increased adoption is quickly making reliable, effective and efficient chargers a necessity for residential, commercial, and destination properties. Whether you’ve already installed chargers on your property or you’re just getting started, having enough chargers — and the right infrastructure and energy management partner servicing them — is essential to meeting customers’ demand now and in the future. During this session, Ryan Kennedy, CEO and co-founder of Atom Power, will provide an overview of the EV charging market, infrastructure and challenges, followed by a formula for how facility managers can choose charging infrastructure that will be a profit center that attracts clientele. Kennedy will explain how managers can create an efficient value proposition by investing in charging infrastructure with a low total cost of ownership. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of how to select efficient, flexible and reliable EV charging infrastructure to better improve both customer experiences and their bottom line.

1. Understand the exponentially growing EV market, its urgent implications for properties of all types, and the need to proactively deploy charging infrastructure that adapts to the evolving market landscape.
2. Articulate the benefits of having reliable infrastructure and the impact that the right EV charging and energy management partner can have on overall cost, satisfaction and future expansion.
3. Recognize the realities and challenges of future scaling for EV charging and how to plan for a successful, long-term EVSE program that provides visibility, monitoring, maintenance, reliability, cost effectiveness and scalability.
4. Develop a list of key questions, considerations and criteria in order to effectively evaluate potential EV charging and energy management partners to ensure your property's needs and goals are met.
