About this session:

In the midst of the chaos, anyone can play an integral role in mitigating the impacts of an active shooter incident. This seminar will provide instruction on "How to Response to an Active Shooter" utilizing the DHS - Run/Hide/Fight Methodology. Additionally, the seminar will include information on the "If you See Something, Say Something" Program as well as "Workplace Violence". Attendees will learn what actions they can take as a civilian during an Active Shooter incident. Attendees will also learn what possible behaviors/activities that should be recognized/reported relative to the See Something/Say Something Program and Workplace Violence.

1. Identify courses of action that civilians should take during an Active Shooter incident to help mitigate the consequences of such an incident.
2. Identify suspicious behaviors/activities that should be recognize relative to the DHS - See Something/Say Something Program, and who/how to report those suspicious behaviors/activities.
3. Recognize behaviors/activities/indicators that may indicate possible work place violence and/or an insider threat.
4. Define the different security measures/posture between "Soft" and" Hard" target facilities in the (16) DHS - Critical Infrastructure (CI) Sectors.
