Over 2000 people a year are hospitalized in the US due to Arc Flash injuries. Simply put, an Arc Flash is an explosion caused when working in energized electrical equipment. However, with proper training and personal protective equipment (PPE), the risk of injury from an Arc Flash can be mitigated.
