Continuous Commissioning Success at Children's Hospital Colorado

This presentation will review a hospital's decision making between ESCO vs commissioning agent, retro-commissioning transition to continuous-commissioning, M&V approach, tracking/reporting results, the success story, and lessons learned. Following is the outline of the business case. SITUATION CHCO main campus built in 2007 and the Benchmarking study revealed a possible ~$2 MM annual energy savings opportunity. ACTIONS TAKEN RD3 engaged to conduct retro-commissioning to identify energy cost savings and to optimize hospital's systems. RESULTS Retro-commissioning implemented has resulted in over $1,600,000 in annual energy savings and countless operational / sequence improvements with ROIs of 1,030% !!
