About this session:

EPAct 179D has been extended. This presentation is designed to explain how to prioritize taking the tax deduction for building owners' 2018 and 2019 energy efficiency projects as well as techniques for justifying 2020 energy efficiency projects and beyond. These topics will cover new construction, retrofit/renovation as well as government projects. We will also discuss how building owners and managers can strategically use the above-mentioned incentives to significantly decrease the amount of time it takes to recoup their investment on building equipment, particularly those items related to the energy systems in the building.

1. Review the newly extended tax incentives related to energy efficiency
2. Learn techniques to justify energy efficiency projects
3. Introduce techniques for prioritizing 2018 and 2019 completed projects
4. Legislative update on existing and proposed tax incentives related to buildings
