NFMT 2019 Session

How Workplace Design Can Enhance Company Culture & Values

View All Sessions

About this session:

Facility Managers are leading design and construction projects across the nation and around the globe. Within those projects, workplace design has the ability to enhance company culture and support their corporate values. Projects may require integrating an acquisition or assisting in translating the main corporate culture into a new office space. Holistic design can also enhance company culture and unify offices across multiple regions. How can workplace standards be implemented, while still allowing for regional influences? In the session, learn how one design firm accomplished this with one client, developing a brand new Midwest corporate headquarters project and an innovation, think-tank type space in the heart of Silicon Valley.

1. Review the importance of creating a shared project vision statement and guiding principles
2. Discuss how workplace planning can enhance collaboration and improve speed of decision making
3. Understand how workplace standards can be successful, even with regional differences
4. List the 6 P’s for a successful project
