Preparing Intelligent Buildings for Immersive, Personalized Experiences Through Practical Network I

About this session:

Intelligent buildings play a critical role in how organizations compete and thrive in the marketplaces they serve and the communities where we live and work. Modern, technologically advanced facilities need to deliver the immersive, personalized experiences occupants increasingly demand. To support these technology demands, leaders should create a smart, practical network infrastructure and edge computing options to advance their facilities. This presentation will explore the details and the steps to take to start delivering innovative building technology services.

1. Understand the rapid rise in the use of ‘smart’ building systems or network connected systems and challenges owners face in evaluating and deploying them.
2. Explore changing occupant demographics and the expectations on how technology should be integrated into a facility at the edge for the best computing experience.
3. Adapt new network standards like Power over Ethernet (PoE) and understand how they enable more building systems to be network-connected and ‘smart’.
4. Recognize how the network has become a critical infrastructure in creating intelligent, high-performing buildings.
