View All Sessions

About this session:

Smart technology has made tremendous gains in the past few years. Today, smart technology presents many opportunities to address specific problems facing facility managers, but many facility managers have found it challenging to move forward with specific projects. This session will offer practical advice about ways to take advantage of smart technology that is now available. The speaker will talk candidly about typical obstacles that hinder projects to make buildings smarter and share examples of approaches that have worked in a variety of organizations to move projects forward. The session will also offer an objective look at smart technologies that have an established track record and that can be deployed to address pain points in facilities. The speaker will also describe smart technologies that are poised for wider use in the next five years. Attendees will go home with ideas that they can implement now and a framework for action over the next five years to move toward the ideal of smart buildings.
