For years, property/facilities managers have been challenged to recruit, hire, and retain the next generation of building operations employees. The AOBA Educational Foundation (AEF) was founded as a vehicle to create a comprehensive, regional solution to what many refer to as “the engineering talent crisis.” We dhow you what we are doing to help companies attract, educate, and retain skilled tradespeople - and provide options you can readily implement to solve this problem in your organization.
1. State "the problem" - where we are, how we got there, and why we need to do something 2. List at least 10 methods to recruit entry-level employees - including non-traditional candidates 3. Identify training opportunties for building operators - from pre-employment to senior/executive level 4. Identify funding sources to cover the cost of training employees at all levels of their career
