View All Sessions

About this session:

The FM profession must change to survive in the age of automation. The FM professional must become an information worker (IW). The FM must increase their responsibility and decrease their workload and liability, but have a tremendous impact on the C-Suite by creating dominant value. The mechanism behind the transformation is to identify and utilize expertise of the expert vendors and outsource project management to the expert vendors. The speaker will review examples which show a dramatic decrease in cost of services, but an increase in value. FMs must learn the new paradigm, vocabulary and actions for the future.

1. Recall how to reduce organizational costs by up to 30% while increasing the value and quality of services received.
2. Describe how to use performance metrics to ensure buy-in at all levels of an organization.
3. State the new FM paradigm and how to increase their capability.
4. Explain how FMs can increase the impact on their organization by minimizing the amount of information they need to know.
