T1.04
From the beginning we were told to isolate and avoid contact with people and surfaces. This was to reduce the number of people getting infected. However, we have seen that lock downs alone were not enough and found that After the curve,...came Another curve. This seminar will review the strategies and guidance used and how and why they should be modified based on what we have learned over the last year. We will focus primarily on Airborne Transmission, Ventilation Impacts and Mitigation strategies for engineers and managers. A segment will also be provided on pros and cons of 'alternate strategies' from bipolar ionization to to UV light.
1. Review the updated building re-opening recommendations.
2. Look at the efficiency of some techniques and conflicts to avoid.
3. Discuss the pros/cons of technology including filters vs UV or ionization.
4. Go over the regulatory conflicts of special modifications
