Metrics That Matter: Beyond the KPIs


About this session:

Metrics provide a roadmap for a successful operation. These metrics, however, need to be aligned with the business objectives to have a meaningful impact. Converting metrics to practical information and knowledge to support operation and maintenance can be challenging. This session highlights typical challenges that FM managers and vendors face in developing, implementing and operationalizing metrics that are needed to achieve the business objective.


1. Identify the effective definition and usage of metrics that matter to the business
2. Differentiate between qualitative and quantitate metrics
3. List the attributes of a good metric: how to develop, measure and monitor
4. Illustrate examples of the lifecycle of a metric from development to implementation
