About this session:

An overview of PoE (Power over Ethernet) lighting technology in regard to building automation, sustainable design, and energy efficiency. With the recent adoption of smart building design and sustainable architecture, architects, developers, and the construction industry are rethinking how structures are built and their long-term effect on our environment. Building material manufacturers are also offering more sustainable solutions, such as Power over Ethernet lighting, to help drive this innovation. The resulting impact has led to improved energy efficiency, and a lower carbon footprint. This course will cover the basic framework and implementation of PoE lighting technology. You'll learn what is PoE, how it works, how PoE lighting integrates with building management systems (BMS), its potential for smart building automation, and its energy efficient benefits. Supporting documentation will cover PoE Network Architecture, Low Voltage (DC), PoE vs Line Voltage, and case studies in PoE lighting efficiency.
